- An original 9x12" oil painting on a cradled archival birch wood panel. The panel is .75" in depth.
- The painting has been varnished to protect the artwork and give it a beautiful glossy finish.
- I only use the highest quality archival materials for maximum permanence and intensity of colour.
- It is ready to hang or frame.
- This piece is signed on the front, and signed, dated and titled on the back.
- I paint with an indirect approach. This means that I layer transparent glazes on top of an underpainting. Even though a painting takes longer to complete with this method, I choose it because it gives the artwork a luminous quality and depth. In this painting you can see the bright burnt umber underpainting shine through under the details of the tree trunk.
- The underpainting in this artwork was created with gestural brush strokes, which has created some texture beneath the trees.
- All artworks are stored and packed with the utmost care to ensure safe arrival at their new home.
